We are thrilled to announce the General Availability (GA) of Logmanager 4.1.0. This is more than just an update. It is a complete transformation, “new inside and out.” Version 4.1.0 marks a fundamental shift in our platform architecture, rebuilt from the ground up to deliver a more sustainable, higher performance and secure foundation for your data.
Key Innovations & Features
New UI: Designed for Efficiency
The management interface has been completely redesigned. This modern, streamlined workspace improves navigation efficiency and provides a professional environment for all administrative tasks.
Next-Level Visualizations
Logmanager 4.1.0 brings a massive leap in how you see your data with powerful new ways to visualize complex information:
- Sankey Diagrams: Perfect for tracking data flow, such as Source to Destination traffic.
- Heatmaps: Gain instant insight into event density and patterns, like parser activity over time.
- Word Clouds and Maps: Enhanced visual tools for identifying tags and geographic data distribution.
- Vega Language Support: Enjoy unlimited customization of visual elements thanks to the integration of the Vega language.

Advanced Search with the Discover feature
Finding the needle in the haystack just got easier. The new Discover feature provides an advanced search interface for deep-dive analysis, allowing you to filter through logs with increased speed and precision

New Data Architecture: Powered by OpenSearch
We have transitioned our core database engine to OpenSearch. This shift optimizes how logs are indexed and stored, moving away from massive daily-split indexes to smaller, parser-based indexes.
- Faster Search: Experience significantly more efficient historical searches.
- Scalability: This new foundation addresses previous performance bottlenecks and scalability limitations.
- Control: Enjoy more flexible system management with enhanced retention control.
Native Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Security is our top priority. Version 4.1.0 introduces native support for 2FA.
- Secure accounts with apps like Google or Microsoft Authenticator.
- Includes the ability to generate and download one-time backup recovery codes.

Frequently Asked Questions
When will the new version start to ship?
Logmanager 4.1.0 is available on all new virtual and hardware appliances shipped from January 1, 2026. Since some features such as granular Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), clustering, and backups will only become available later this year, customers can choose whether they prefer to run version 3.x.x or 4.x.x for now. An upgrade path will be available later.
Where can I test the new version now?
The new version is already available for download as a VMware, Hyper-V, or Proxmox (KVM) virtual appliance from our website at the following link: https://logmanager.com/deploy-vm.
Not-for-resale (NFR) hardware appliances are now available for pre-order for registered partners. A limited number of demo appliances are also available for lease on demand directly from Logmanager.
How do I upgrade to the new major version?
Once all key features from version 3.x.x become available in version 4.x.x, we will enable the upgrade process. We will provide detailed migration instructions at that time. There are some known migrations limitations:
- No Downgrades: Once upgraded to version 4.1.0, it is not possible to downgrade back to version 3.X.
- Version 3 Users: A direct migration path is currently under development. We recommend that version 3 users wait for further announcements before attempting an upgrade.
- Target Audience: This initial GA release is best suited for smaller organizations (1-3 admins) starting fresh without an existing central log management system.
Will the previous version continue to be supported? For how long?
Both the latest releases of versions 3.x.x and 4.x.x are currently supported in parallel and will continue to be supported until the majority of customers have migrated. We will announce the end-of-support date for the previous generation well in advance to allow sufficient planning time.
Are there known limitations in this version?
In this first major release, we focused on delivering the core functionality. Some advanced capabilities are not yet available but are planned as part of our roadmap. Log forwarding to external systems (Forwarders) and granular role-based access control (RBAC) are scheduled for Q1 2026. Configuration and data backups with scheduled backup options are planned for Q3 2026. Cluster support for high availability and horizontal scaling is expected in Q4 2026.
For more information about the roadmap, watch a webinar on our YouTube channel.
Will my data, configurations, and customizations be preserved?
Details are still being finalized. Most configurations will be preserved, and we are working on a migration process that also retains data and customizations such as alerts and dashboards. We are committed to making the upgrade process as smooth as possible. We will inform you about upgrade options well in advance.
Will training or onboarding materials be updated?
You may have noticed that we’ve already started publishing new content – including website pages, webinars, and YouTube videos – based on the new UI. We will gradually phase out version 3 materials rather than replacing everything at once. We started educating our partners last year and also announced the first partner training dates. Customers who choose to have their devices shipped with version 4 will receive training on demand, and over time all standard training materials will be updated to cover version 4.
Does the new version change licensing or pricing?
We are not making any changes to licensing or pricing specifically because of this release. We will continue to make occasional adjustments through our regular review process, for example when hardware configurations or input costs change.
Is the upgrade free for existing customers?
Yes. The upgrade is free of charge for customers with active product support under the standard support terms and conditions. More information is available in Documentation.
How can I submit feedback or report bugs?
We are working closely with selected partners and customers who are already deploying version 4 in lab or production environments, using established communication channels for feedback. Any customer who has purchased the new version can also submit bugs or request assistance from our support team through the usual channels, such as email or the Support Portal.
Are more features coming after this release?
Yes. After the next planned 3.12 release in Q1 2026, which will include several new features, we will focus on adding new roadmap features to version 4. Version 3 will then only receive bug fixes and security patches. The new platform allows us to deliver new features much more efficiently, so this is a very exciting phase for us.
